Corporate support makes a difference at Abbeyfield Winnersh
Back in October, Abbeyfield Winnersh had the fantastic support of a corporate volunteer team from Legal and General. Their visit resulted in a highly productive day of transformation, focused on revitalising our gardens and outdoor spaces through hard work and community spirit.
The dedicated L&G team arrived ready to tackle our outdoor spaces, focusing their energy on gardening, painting, and revitalising several key areas. They spent the day clearing flower beds, touching up paintwork on benches and fences, and bringing new life to our residents' garden. They achieved a remarkable amount of work, all while maintaining great focus and a positive attitude.
“Our team had a fantastic day at Abbeyfield, from the warm and friendly greeting when we arrived to the variety of jobs we were given to keep us busy! We would highly recommend it for any team looking to step away from the pressures of the office and get some fresh air and time together.”
-Legal and General team member

"I got to fulfill a lifelong dream of driving a ride on lawn mower. And how rewarding it is seeing the impact a few hours sweat equity can bring."
-Member of team from Legal and General
This kind of community support means a great deal to everyone at Abbeyfield. The time and effort contributed by the Legal and General volunteers have immediately made our grounds more pleasant and welcoming, directly enhancing the day-to-day surroundings for our residents. It was clear from all the smiles that the volunteers also had an enjoyable day—a perfect example of collaboration and giving back!
We are incredibly grateful that the Legal & General team chose Abbeyfield Winnersh for their volunteering day. Your support genuinely helps us continue our mission of providing warm, welcoming homes.
