We're a friendly residential care home in Amersham, nestled amidst the beauty of the Chiltern Hills. Here, you'll find a relaxed and inviting environment designed to promote comfort, security, and overall wellbeing for our residents.

Pratt House boasts a peaceful location just outside the vibrant market town of Amersham. Our beautiful grounds feature 29 en-suite rooms, most with showers and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Some rooms even accommodate couples who wish to stay together.

Furniture can be provided although we encourage you to bring your own furniture and cherished belongings to truly make your room feel like home. We also have an assisted bath for safe and comfortable bathing.

For added peace of mind, CCTV cameras are installed throughout the property, ensuring the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors.

Our communal spaces offer a variety of amenities for your enjoyment. Relax and unwind in our cozy lounge or indulge in a pampering session at our on-site salon. Our lovely dining room provides three delicious meals a day, and we cater to all dietary needs.

Unwind in our beautiful garden, filled with vibrant flowers and comfortable seating. Catch up with loved ones or simply enjoy a peaceful moment in our charming summer house, perfect for afternoon tea.

Being part of the wider community is important to us. We've established excellent relationships with local pre-schools, churches, GPs, and district nurses, providing a strong support network for our residents.

Judith B
Judith is a Registered Nurse with 23 years of experience, currently supporting Pratt House as an Interim Manager. She is passionate about caring for the elderly and is known for her kindness, understanding, and compassion. Since 2006, Judith has worked in care home settings, bringing her extensive knowledge and expertise to Abbeyfield, where she has been making a positive impact for the past two years.

Leah has worked at Pratt since August 2017 where she quickly progressed from Care Assistant to Deputy Manager. She enjoys a varied role building relationships with residents, relatives and staff. Leah is sympathetic and compassionate to the needs of all residents at Pratt House.

Joanna worked at Pratt House as a carer, then Care Team Leader. She then spent a couple of years exploring domiciliary care before returning to Pratt House as Head of Care in April 2023. Joanna manages the majority of the care planning in the home and supervises care staff to deliver the best quality care in the home.
